So I am home in bed today and since I am having trouble sleeping I decided to hop online and spend some time catching up on all of my fellow bloggers blog posts as well as update ours. A part of me wonders if the reason for me feeling like a truck ran over me is all the shouting I was doing yesterday while watching my Washington Redskins play well yesterday
.
In July Marcus and I met up with Ty and Marisa at Brookside Gardens for their engagement shoot. I have said this before but I will say it again that we have been very privleged to meet up with several wonderful people over the last few months and for that we are grateful. I really got the impression that Ty absolutely adores Marisa due to the constant hand holding the whispering in her ears and just the joy on his face whenever he looked at her. It was very clear that Ty is a romantic at heart. A few nights before the session he mentioned that he downloaded some music on his iphone and while we were shooting the music was playing and they honestly at times looked like they were in their own little world. It really was quite amazing to see and I started realizing that I may have to kick up my game when it comes to romancing my wife lol. The way they were together allowed me and Marcus to just step back outside of the scene and document the couple just spending time together walking around the beautiful gardens. We will be seeing them again in 3 weeks when we photograph their special day.
Not sure if this shot works. I was trying to shoot the couple thru a fountain and I think I like the shot but curious to see what others think.
They were full of smiles for the entire 2 1/2 hours of the shoot. I think my face was hurting after this shoot because I had a goofy grin on my face too.
I remember why Marisa had a big smile in this photo. I had ran ahead of them and hid in the woods so that I could capture them walking on the trail. Marisa noticed me and jumped at first then started cracking up when she saw me in the woods. Marcus rolling his eyes and asked me if I thought I was a Ninja or something.
I really liked this photograph because the way the light was hitting the tall grass behind them.
Sigh.. I have to say again how easy of a shoot this was for Marcus and I. They just did their own thing and we barely had to guide them when it came to posing.
While walking around we came across this chess table. Ty suggested to Marisa that they should arm wrestle lol. Marcus and I shared a look, shrugged our shoulders and started firing away
Ty picks up a flower and starts singing to Marisa.. A part of me was like who is this guy? Its easy to see why they should be happy together because it was very evident that they really enjoy each others company.
We had a fabulous time with the happy couple and we are ooking forward to photographing their wedding at the end of this month.
