About 2 weeks ago I walked into our bedroom and caught my wife flexing her muscles. It was cute really!! My wife has always been athletic but due to a demanding career and raising a family etc it took awhile to get rid of the last 10lbs of baby weight she claims she was carrying around after having our son. Anyways I am always looking for an opporunity to take photographs of her while she is in amiable mood which is far and few between. While she was still talking I snuck back downstairs while throwing out phrases like yes dear, wow dear, you look fantastic always have dear, while grabbing my camera. Of course as soon as I appeared back in the room she rolled her eyes but before she could say anything else I started firing away.
After viewing these photos and looking at the lighting in these images I have decided that its time to invest in some mono lights and speed lights. The speed light I recieved yesterday yippe! Don’t get me wrong I do like these particular photographs but I can see the value in getting to know and practice different lighting setups. All of these images were shot with Canon’s nifty fifty lens at f/1.8 with an ISO of 3200. I think that using an ISO of 3200 is pushing the limits with the T3I and I am not sure how much of an improvement the 7D will provide but we will soon see.
