FAQ

1. What kind of equipment do you use?

We are Canon shooters and we have backups for both our cameras and lighting equipment.

2. Do you have insurance?

We do carry liability insurance.

4. Should we do an engagement session?

We always recommend an engagement session when possible. Sessions are a slower pace than a wedding and are a great chance for us to get to know each other better and for couples to get used to being in front of the camera. We love shooting sessions and feel like couples are even more excited for the wedding images after seeing their engagement photos– which of course I love:).

5. Do you recommend a first look?

Every couple should consider what is most important to them when deciding how to schedule the wedding day. Many of our couples do decide to have a first look. Electing to see each other before the ceremony gives you a few moments alone before the day begins. There is more time for shooting during daylight hours if you are having an evening ceremony. Many times it allows more time for creative images. I will definitely work with you on your timeline for the best photography however you want to arrange your day.

6. Do you offer a disc of images?

Each wedding packages includes a client gallery as well as a password that will enable you to download the images you want. For portrait sessions, the disc can be purchased a la carte.

7. Do we need an album if we have the disc?

We believe the digital images a nice way to archive all the moments captured by the photographer. The album is the art piece. It’s designed to tell the story of the day. The disc gives you the security but the album is what you would display in your home and show your family and friends. We really believe its important to have an album that will be an heirloom in your family and each couple should consider if that’s something that is important to them.

8. How will you photograph our portraits?

Portrait sessions are really a collaboration between the couple and the photographer. We won’t ask you to stand up against a wall while we shoot quietly with a long lens in the distance or ask you to just imagine I’m not there. Because, well, I am there and with a big camera:) I just ask you to show me who you are as a couple. I will talk you through it and give you some direction. We don’t expect you to come ready with poses or be completely comfortable at the beginning of a session. Our goal is that at the end you enjoyed being photographed.  Plus Marcus will probably say quite a few crazy things or one of us will trip while walking, so you will be should not worry too much about how you will look.  Just be yourself and we will capture it.

9. Where are you located?

We are wedding and portrait photographers located in Howard County Maryland and our market is the Mid-Atlantic but we can travel
